PONDA: Mardol Police today arrested Munna Sahadev Bhuiya (46) resident of Banastari and native of Zarkhand for murdering his wife Sanju Devi(50) by strangulating her using a dupatta.
It is believed that he killed her on suspicion that She was having extramarital affairs. The murder was committed between 27 August around 12 hrs near Banastari underpass.
According to Police, the murder came to light When the dead body of this woman was found in a car shed in Banastari. The murder came to light after the deceased woman’s husband gave the information about it to his two children.
Sanjudevi and Munna have two children. He lived in an old market shed in Banastari.
Munna and Sanjudevi were doing the labour work.
Munna and Sanjudevi were the only ones in the car shed last Monday while both the children were in the market shed when a heated argument took place between them.
After the death of Sanjudevi, Munna stayed there till evening.
When both the boys came to the car shed from the market shed, Munna told the children that Sanjudevi had gone to some other relative, after which the boys went back.
However, Munna finally showed Sanjudevi’s dead body to the children, after which her relatives informed the Mardol police.
Mardol police arrested Munna in this murder case and sent the body to GMC for post-mortem.
Munna has confessed to the murder and the Mardol police are investigating further
