MARGAO: In a joint raid on a casino operating at Varca, the SP South Police have arrested 15 persons and also attached chips worth Rs 6.9 lakhs.
The raid was conducted on Friday night by PI colva and PI Margao under supervision of SP south police.
“These casinos continued to operate even when the state has an ongoing curfew wherein both types of casinos have been told remain closed,” police sources said
Police have recovered chips worth Rs 6.9 lakh along with playing cards which were used for gambling.
