SANGOLDA: A case of illegal decanting, storage, and sale of LPG cylinders has been reported in Sangolda, raising serious safety concerns.
According to a complaint filed by Deepa R. Fulari, Assistant Director attached to the Department of Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Goa, the incident took place on March 16 between 5:30 pm and 8:50 pm. During this time, unknown individuals were allegedly engaged in unauthorized handling and sale of LPG cylinders without obtaining the required permissions from the competent authority.
Officials stated that the accused were operating without following mandatory safety protocols, thereby posing a significant risk to human life and property in the area.
Based on the complaint, police have registered a case, and further investigation is currently in progress under the supervision of the Police Inspector of Saligao Police Station.
Authorities are working to identify those involved and to determine the full extent of the illegal operation.
