Quepem: Cuncolim Police have registered a case against unknown persons for allegedly carrying out illegal extraction of rubber stones at Naquerim village in Quepem without obtaining the required permits.
According to the complaint filed by Nathen Afonso, Mamlatdar of Quepem Taluka, the accused persons allegedly conducted illegal extraction operations at four different locations in Naquerim prior to February 11, 2026.
Police said the accused illegally extracted rubber stones without securing licences or permission from the competent authority and transported the material to unknown destinations, causing loss to the State Government.
A case has been registered and further investigation is being carried out by PSI Sahil Pagui of Cuncolim Police Station.
