PANJIM: Indian Medical Association (IMA) on Tuesday in a letter to Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant has appealed to give home quarantine option for asymptomatic Covid19 positive patients.
IMA has also said that they are more than happy to formulate a protocol for treatment of such patients at home.
“We would like to inform you that Planet Hollywood and Ocean Residency will be open to public on payment with prior permission from IMA GOA STATE Secretary and President. Also we would like to add that doctors will be available on a video call. A kit with all necessary medicines and a pulse oximeter will be kept at hotel with payment.” Said IMA Secretary Dr Sudhir Shet
He said, “Also we take this opportunity to request to start home quarantine for asymptomatic COVID 19 positive patient. This will decrease the burden on our healthcare infrastructure and we could provide better care to the most needy.”
Further, if this proposal of home quarantine is accepted then IMA would be more than happy to formulate a protocol for treatment of such patients at home
