PANAJI: In a shocking statement, Dy Chief Minister Babu Azgaonkar has said that the Goa Opposition leaders must have connived with the former Goa Governor Satyapal Malik to defame BJP government in Goa.
Speaking to media persons, Azgaonkar questioned why Malik did not act when he was the Goa Governor?
“Meghalaya Governor Satyapal Mallik is hand-in-glove with Opposition to malign CM’s image,” he said.
He also demanded that the Home Ministry should initiate an inquiry against Governor Mallik for his allegations.
“The allegations made by the Governor are intending to give advantage to the Opposition,” he said.
The Dy CM added, “Why did he not take action when he was Governor of Goa. Now he has woken up after two years. He should resign as Governor and speak against the elected government”.
