QUEPEM: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant took a dig at the Opposition for instigating the Anganwadi workers, who protested at his official residence.
CM Sawant said that his government has fulfilled 90 per cent of the demands of the Anganwadi workers in November.
This protest outside my residence is totally baseless, and even they have not submitted any memorandum to my office,” he said.
Sawant said that the protestors have not given any statement about the agitation being carried out by the Anganwadi workers.
Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant said this while addressing a function at the complex municipal inauguration at Quepem.
He also said that Anganwadi workers did not need to agitate, but some people have a tendency to provoke. Similarly, Deputy Chief Minister Babu Kavalekar said that some people create issues due to their selfish interests, which have a different sense and tend to provoke opposition to the government.
He went on to say that just as the opposition provokes the people by raising any subject, we should also place it before people what we have done for them because the opposition just misleading people here.
CM on Thursday laid the foundation stone and inaugurated eight to nine projects.
This is the first constituency wherein Rs 100 crore worth of development works have been started or inaugurated.
It was heavy then, but these things were not possible and it came to power when Savitri Kavalekar joined the BJP.
He also praised Babu Kavlekar, saying he has carried out immense development in Quepem.
CM Pramod Sawant said that the BJP government provided Quepem locals basic facilities what previous governments could not.
He said the mining dependent people will benefit from the new mining dump scheme by the government.
Kavalekar said that when he was at the Congress party, he could not do the things that came to his mind, which he had done after joining the BJP.
