PANAJI: In a vibrant celebration of World Tourism Day 2025, the Department of Tourism, Government of Goa, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Panaji, Paradise Cruises, the Travel and Tourism Association of Goa (TTAG), and SKAL International Goa, hosted a special River Mandovi boat cruise that highlighted inclusion and community spirit. Hon’ble Tourism Minister Rohan A. Khaunte said, “The River Mandovi Cruise has shown how tourism can transcend recreation to become a platform for inclusion, dignity, and community spirit. We are proud to make such experiences an integral part of Goa’s tourism story.” Director of Tourism Kedar Naik added that the cruise reflects the vision of making Goa a destination where tourism benefits every section of society.
On 26th September, senior citizens, persons with disabilities (PwDs), and children from orphanages enjoyed the gentle waters of the Mandovi, while 27th September welcomed children with disabilities along with their teachers and staff for a memorable experience filled with music, joy, and togetherness. Beyond sightseeing, the initiative emphasized compassion, inclusivity, and sustainability, in line with Goa Tourism’s commitment to ‘Tourism for All’ and Regenerative Tourism principles. The cruise was one of the flagship activities of Goa’s World Tourism Day 2025 celebrations, reinforcing the state’s dedication to meaningful and responsible tourism.
