PORVORIM: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today informed the House that his government will introduce a new scheme to provide housekeeping and security staff for schools.
“We will also introduce a new scheme to provide housekeeping and security staff for schools. Appointments will be made by the principals, and the honorarium for these positions will be increased,” said Sawant.
He further said that Shri Vithal Rakhumai Sarkari Prathamik Shala, Vithalapur Karapur is a government school with 32 rooms, a number even Delhi schools don’t have.
“According to our policy, there is currently no provision for security and housekeeping staff. However, the government will consider providing security and housekeeping services to enhance such schools by the end of August,” he added.
