New Delhi: In a swift and calibrated military operation, the Indian Air Force (IAF) conducted precision airstrikes on several Pakistani Air Force (PAF) bases and military installations in response to recent drone attacks and aggressive actions along the western sector.
At a high-level government briefing, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, alongside Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri and Colonel Sofiya Qureshi, detailed the targeted airstrikes on PAF bases in Rafiqui, Murid, Chaklala, and Rahim Yar Khan. Additional military infrastructure at Sukkur, Chunia, a radar installation at Pasrur, and the Sialkot aviation base were also hit with precision air-launched weapons.
“These strikes were a direct response to Pakistan’s continued provocations, which included the use of unmanned combat aerial vehicles, loitering munitions, long-range weapons, and fighter aircraft to attack Indian civilian and military targets,” Wing Commander Singh stated. She confirmed that limited damage had been sustained at Indian airbases in Udhampur, Pathankot, Adampur, and Bhuj.
Calling Pakistan’s strikes on civilian areas — including a medical center and school — “cowardly” and “deplorable,” the IAF emphasized that India’s retaliation focused strictly on military objectives, ensuring minimal collateral damage.
Wing Commander Singh also addressed Pakistan’s misinformation campaign, firmly rejecting claims that key Indian military installations such as the S-400 air defense system at Adampur, airfields at Suratgarh and Sirsa, BrahMos base at Nagrota, and the forward ammunition depot at Chandigarh had been destroyed. She presented time-stamped satellite images to refute these assertions.
The Indian Army has also responded effectively to heavy shelling by Pakistan along the Line of Control, she added. “We have observed Pakistan moving troops into forward positions, indicating a possible intent to escalate. The Indian armed forces remain in a high state of operational readiness,” Singh noted, reiterating India’s commitment to non-escalation, provided there is reciprocal restraint from Pakistan.
The government assured the public that all hostile actions have been countered, and the nation’s defense posture remains strong and responsive.
