New Delhi:
In a significant event in Delhi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched the book “Indian Renaissance: The Modi Decade,” a tribute to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s transformative leadership over the past decade. Shah’s remarks highlighted India’s remarkable economic growth and predicted that the country will become the world’s third-largest economy by 2027. This milestone marks a pivotal phase in India’s historical narrative, one that Shah believes will be remembered as a turning point.
Amit Shah outlined that India’s history will be divided into three distinct phases: before and after Independence, before and after the Emergency, and before and after Narendra Modi’s era. He praised Modi’s decade in power as a period of profound transformation, noting that under Modi’s leadership, India has risen from the 11th to the 5th largest economy globally. Shah emphasized that this ascent is not merely economic but also reflects a broader societal and governance transformation.
The Modi government has implemented numerous welfare initiatives, significantly improving the lives of millions. Over 7 crore poor Indians have been provided with houses, toilets, access to water, 5 kg of food, and health insurance. Additionally, more than 25 crore people have been driven out of poverty, and 80 crore individuals receive free rations. PM Modi’s focus on sanitation has led to the construction of toilets in 1.5 crore houses, a feat that has been recognized nationally and internationally.
Every house in India now has access to electricity, with 2500 villages newly electrified, showcasing the government’s commitment to infrastructure development. India’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic was also lauded by Shah, who highlighted the country’s swift development of vaccines and the successful implementation of lockdowns. The collective effort of the central government, state governments, and the public in fighting the pandemic was a testament to India’s resilience.
Amit Shah reiterated PM Modi’s vision for India to become a fully developed nation by 2047. This aspiration, now a collective goal for 130 crore Indians, is driven by the country’s youth. Shah expressed confidence that if every Indian takes a step forward, the country will advance significantly, positioning itself as a global power by 2047.
