Panaji: Reacting to the statement of Goa police that body parts of an infant found at Agacaim is ‘not a serious case’, Congress leader Girish Chodankar said that even police have turned insensitive like the BJP Government.
“This is an insensitive remark by the Goa Police. The Officer who made this statement should be immediately taken off duty. We can’t accept such insensitive remarks by police officers against the sensitive issues, where limbs of an infant have been found,” Chodankar said.
He said that Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, who also holds the Home Portfolio, should clarify whether he subscribes to this statement made by the Goa Police.
“Firstly action should be taken on such a police officer, who will not investigate this case thoroughly as he finds it not serious. Director General of Police should quickly act on this,” Chodankar said.
