PANAJI: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant informed that the Government is keen on introducing three major Green Tech initiatives in Goa while stating that
intellectual Property is critical for the development of Green Technology.
“Goa Government is keen on introducing three major Green Tech initiatives in Goa. These initiatives include innovative technologies such as 2MW Membrane based floating solar panels unique to Goa’s landscape, New Green Hydrogen Research and Development Center in line with the National Green Hydrogen Mission, Renewable Manufacturing Hub facilitating Solar Panel and Electrolysers production,” said CM Sawant.
He further announced the launch of a historic plant to densify the forest with an innovative carbon exchange program.
The Chief Minister further emphasised the fact that Intellectual Property is critical for the development of Green Technology.
He also mentioned that finding the right balance between the protection of IP and the need to promote Green Technology is pertinent.
To address this, he suggested licensing agreements, and patent pools create an environmentally sustainable and economically prosperous future.
“The 14th Edition of GIPC 2023 is a unique opportunity for various IP experts and business leaders to discuss and share their experiences, insights, and learnings to enhance IP management strategies,” he added.
