Panaji: As a part of the on-going ‘Homo Ludens: The Art of Play’ international exhibition that celebrates the spirit of play at the Museum of Goa (MOG), Pilerne, MOG in collaboration with LaLa Foundation, Amsterdam and Cultural Participation, Netherlands has organised a number of interactive workshops for children and adults, designed to explore the many facets of play and its impact on our lives. The following is the schedule for the same, all taking place at the museum:
‘Acoustics with the Conch Shell’ by Divesh Gadekar
The conch shell holds a cherished place in ancient traditions and cultures worldwide, a testament to musicality and artistry. For those aged 8 and above, rediscover various techniques for playing the conch and uncover its many facets, from spiritual symbolism to its role in music and ritual across the globe, with interdisciplinary artist Divesh Gadekar on October 19 at 3 PM.
‘Play like a Surrealist’ by Chaitali Morajkar
Surrealism is an art form that allows people to explore their creativity and break free from reality. At the ‘Play like a Surrealist’ workshop, for those aged 14 and above, expand your awareness of the endless possibilities in surreal art and discover the joy of creating in an environment that encourages experimentation and fun with artist Chaitali Morajkar at 3 PM on October 20 at Museum of Goa, Pilerne.
‘Find Your Balance’ with Pratheek D’Souza
Slacklining is a great way to build body coordination and to enhance focus, while having fun. Learn slacklining and experience the joy of finding your balance with trackliner Pratheek D’ souza at 11AM on October 27.
‘Cardboard Creations: Crafting Delicious Food Models’ with Neville Trindade
Playing while being sustainable? Sounds like a good deal, especially for those 6 and above. Make DIY cupcakes out of cardboard with whimsical and colourful designs with ‘Cardboard Daddy’ Neville Trindade at 3PM on October 27.
‘Self Portrayal Workshop’ with Chaitali Morajkar
