PANAJI: In the run-up to the parliamentary election, GFP chief Vijai Sardesai declared that the interim union budget was a total overconfidence move devoid of any substance.
Sardesai was addressing the media before the assembly session.
According to Sardesai, the BJP’s budget is for 2047 because they appear to be overconfident that they will win the next election.
He stated that there is nothing in this budget for the average person because it is not intended for voting but rather for 2047.
“Every issue I raise on the floor of the Assembly is an issue of grave importance to fellow Goemkars—from unemployment to deteriorating tourism, from land grabs to crime against women and children,” he added.
Vijai also said that it was his honour and privilege to voice their anxieties and expectations, and he will do is best to force government to not only turn its head buried in events towards the mountain of challenges that the common people of Goa face but also get them to act.
“In the true spirit of our democracy, I will not back away from getting from them all the answers Goans expect and deserve,” he added.
