PANAJI: Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Ltd. (IPSCDL) has successfully completed the interconnection of Panaji City’s sewerage network ahead of the High Court of Bombay at Goa – mandated deadline of 25th January 2025.
This major infrastructure project involved the provision of laying, testing and commissioning of a state-of-the-art sewerage network using trenchless technology.
IPSCDL recommenced the sewerage work post-monsoon, which also included the construction of six additional manholes at critical locations to enhance maintenance and operational efficiency.
The project featured 15 strategically placed interconnections to ensure seamless integration and improved functionality of the sewerage system.
These interconnections were executed at depths ranging from 2.1 to 4 meters and lengths varying between 3 and 12 meters, demonstrating precision planning and engineering.
Highlighting the importance of this milestone, a senior official from IPSCDL said, “Completing the interconnection of Panaji’s sewerage network ahead of the deadline is a testament to our commitment to excellence and efficiency.
This project not only enhances the city’s sanitation infrastructure but also reinforces our dedication to improving the quality of life for Panaji’s residents while adopting eco-friendly and modern solutions.”
