CANACONA: A 45 years old man from Gaondongrim gone missing from his residence since Thursday morning is found hanging a tree in the village.
Canacona police provided the name of the deceased as Keshav Narayan Velip, age 45 yrs r/o ward no.2 Gaondongrim, Canacona.
According to police he was missing since yesterday morning and a MPR (Missing Person Report) is already registered. He was found hanging to a tree at 17.30hr in the jungle about 200 m away from the main road proceeding towards Gaunem dam.
After panchanama, Canacona police recovered the body and sent it for preservation at Margao.
Police informed Velip is a 1st IRBN cook attached to Sanguem camp and was at home on sick leave, was staying with his wife and a 14 years aged Son.
Police informed no foul play is suspected, nor any suicide note is found.
However, according to sources, the deceased on sick leave was known to have resorted to some heavy drinking due to some unknown family issues.
PSI Suhas Velip is investigating the case under the direct supervision of Canacona PI Chandrakant Gawas.
Gawas informed No suicide note is found, and investigation is in preliminary stage.
