ITI college Bogda on Wednesday evening carried out the first Atmanirbhar program at Bogda to provide basic awareness and information on basic house keeping maintainence jobs like plumbing and electrical fittings.
The vice prinicipal of ITI Bogda said that Vasudev Fadte said that be state of admissions in all ITI had gone down but the elected representatives like Minister Milind Naik and councilors had helped the Bogda ITI college with admissions after promoting the college at local levels. Fadte said that the college admissions had gone up to 50 percent because even the staff had gone door to door after the director had extended the last date of admissions
Minister Milind Naik congratulated the ITI staff for carrying out the initiative of Atma Nirbhar Bharat, an initiative of the PM Narendra Modi.
Naik said that the ITI staff had approached him to inform about the Atma Nirbhar Bharat program where in they would go ward to ward and carry out awareness camps of basic details like changing of bulbs or small plumbing works for the common people so that they don’t have to be dependent on electricians or plumbers for small minor works . Naik said that while a bulb would cost 50 rs , sometimes an electrician would charge 300 RS just for attending the works .
Naik said that after hearing the ITI staff, he decided to give the space outside his office for the program and invite people to the place where ITI staff could give a detailed awareness at one place instead of going ward to ward . Naik said that residents of every ward would be called separately at the place where ITI college staff could give the awareness to the people
