PANAJI: Panaji police have filed a charge sheet against Pooja Naik on charges of duping one person of Rs 6 lakh by promising her a government job.
Police submitted a 120-page charge sheet against Pooja Naik (39) of Old Goa,
Pooja Naik was the first to be arrested in the mega job-for-cash scam exposed last year.
On October 23, 2024, the complainant Priya Manerkar had filed a complaint with the Porvorim police accusing Pooja Naik of taking Rs 4 lakh after promising her a government job.
A case had also been filed against Pooja Naik with the Mardol police.
Accordingly, Porvorim police had registered a case against three suspects, Pooja Naik, Ajit Satarkar and Anisha Satarkar
Pooja Naik was arrested by the Bicholim police in a similar case and a court had sent her to judicial custody.
Porvorim police later took custody of her and arrested Pooja on November 6, 2024.
