MARGAO/CANACONA: The Joint Enforcement and Monitoring Committee, constituted by the Government of Goa under Order No. 1-179-2025-CS dated December 9, 2025, has launched a series of inspections across South Goa district to assess fire safety readiness and statutory compliance in tourism-related establishments.
Acting under the guidance of the South Goa District Collector, the committee carried out inspections in key locations including Salcete and Canacona.
The teams examined critical safety systems, emergency preparedness measures, and adherence to mandatory norms prescribed for commercial and tourism establishments.
Officials issued immediate directions wherever corrective action was found necessary. The enforcement drive will continue across the district in the coming days to ensure full compliance and strengthen public safety measures.
