Panaji: JSW Steel Mining Division Goa celebrated the 77th Republic Day at its operational mining block in Cudnem, Bicholim, bringing together employees from JSW Steel Mining and Fomento Mineral and Resources for the occasion.
Speaking at the event, Sauvik Mazumdar, Chief Operating Officer of JSW Steel Mining, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat, emphasizing the role of the steel sector in strengthening key industries. He also praised the mining teams for their dedication to maintaining high safety standards and environmental stewardship throughout operations.
The Cudnem mining block has recently commenced production, with iron ore from the site already dispatched for domestic use. The celebrations were also attended by Y. Nagendra, Goa Business Head of JSW Steel Mining, and Rajiv Kumar, Head of Fomento Mineral and Resources, highlighting the collaborative efforts of both organizations in advancing mining operations in the region.
