MARGAO: Karan Dhavaskar, Ayaan Shaikh, Anish Kamath and Umakant Sarge have stormed into the Men’s singles semi-finals, at the State Badminton Ranking tournament organised by BPS Sports Club under the aegis of Goa Badminton Association and the Sports Authority of Goa, at Manohar Parrikar Indoor stadium, Navelim.
Anjana Kumari, Pratishtha Shenoy, Aarohi Coutoncar and Janhavi Mahale are the four semi-finalists in the Women’s singles category.
In the U19 Boys singles semi-finals, Anish Kamath, Nishant Shenai, Anuj Vernekar and Devesh Goel have sealed their semis places. In the Under 11 Boys singles category, Ateendra Gaonkar, Vishwa Parab, Michael Mare, Aaryan Karpe, Devarsh Kotkar, Neil Punjani Bakshi, Mohammad Umar and Vedh Lotlikar have moved into the last eight.
In girl’s singles Under 11, Avni Khyalia, Asbah Tahsildar, Fiona Mare, Niharika Parwar, Pragya Audi, Amaira Dhumatker, Astha Poudel and Palak Ramnathkar complete the quarterfinal line up.Enclosed: Photographs of Karan Dhavaskar, Anjana Kumari, and Ayaan Shaikh in action.
