Govind Ramnath Kare College of Law and St. Xavier’s College, Mapusa registered wins in the Goa University Inter Collegiate Cricket Men Championship 2023-24, at Goa University Cricket Ground, Taleigao.
In the first match, Govind Ramnath Kare College of Law defeated Vikas Parishad’s Mandrem College by 6 wickets.
Batting first, Vikas Parishad’s Mandrem College scored 155/8 in 20 overs.
Aniket Utekar 53(32), Atharv Chandure 44(28) were topscorers for Kare College.
Kunal Naik 2/20, Bashir Ullah 2/21 picked wickets for Mandrem college.
In reply, Govind Ramnath Kare College of law 156/5 in 19.1 overs.
Vrusaj Talaulikar 80(53), Kunal Naik 28(23) were top scorers for Kare while Tejas Shetgaonkar picked 2/24 for mandrem.
In the second match of the day, St. Xavier’s College, Mapusa defeated Goa College of Pharmacy by 8 wickets.
Electing to bat first, Goa College of Pharmacy 105/9 in 20 overs.
Heramb Kanolkar 18(29) topscored for Pharmacy.
Saiesh Parab 3/14, Harsh Bhagat 2/13 picked wickets for Xavier’s.
In reply: St. Xavier’s College, Mapusa chased 108/2 in 12.3 overs.
Laxman Shetye 34(28), Tejas Naik 28(24) not out were top scorers
Sahil Gaonkar 1/17, Danish Md. 1/16 picked wickets for Pharmacy college
In another match, Fr. Agnel College of Arts and Commerce, Pillar defeated Vidya Prabodhini College of Commerce, Education, Computer & Management by 5 Wickets.
Vidya Prabodhini college scored 123/8 in 20 overs with
Saidutt Varadkar 35(34), Saish Tari 24(30) not out being topscorers.
Anuj Bhikoji 3/17, Nagvenkat Ponga 3/33 picked wickets for Fr Agnel.
In reply, Fr. Agnel College 127/5 in 17.5 overs.
Rudra Gaonkar 32(24) not out, Pranav Naik 25(25) topscored and Dattaraj Dalvi 2/05 picked wickets for Vidhya Prabhodini.
Government College Khandola, defeated G. V. M’s College of Farmagudi by 06 wickets.
G.V. M’s College of Farmagudi 107/10 in 20 overs with
Gaurang Gaonkar 36 (39) top-scoring.
Ved Patel 2/16, Sankalp Prabhu 2/20 picked wickets for Khandola.
