SALIGAO: Saligao police have nabbed a man for allegedly sexually assaulting a 15-year-old minor girl. A case was booked against accused Sunil Rathod in the matter last week by mother of the victim girl.
While the police went to Karnataka in search of the accused, the accused came to Goa. He was nabbed by Saligao police from Calangute.
Mother of the minor girl aged 15 yrs had lodged a complaint at Saligao Police Station last week.
Police team consisting of ASI Suryakant. Kolvalkar, PC 5816 Vishant Mayekar, PC 8282 Vaibhav Arondekar, PC 6119 Vijay Palni, PC 7244 Rahul Angolkar proceeded to Karnataka for investigation in above crime on 08/06/2023 under the supervision of PI Milind M. Bhuimbar and SDPO Porvorim Vishwesh Karpe.
However, accused dodged the Police and came to Goa.
After hectic efforts accused was nabbed from Calangute and arrested in the above crime. LPSI Nilam Gawas is further investigating the case under the supervision of PI Milind M. Bhuimbar.
