Canacona: Police have booked a Karwar resident for rash and negligent driving that left two Canacona residents injured in a two-wheeler collision at Gulem.
According to Canacona police, the accused, identified as Parshurushi Kalgutkar of Karwar, Karnataka, was riding a Vespa scooter towards Canacona from Margao on August 5, 2026, at around 4:15 p.m. When passing near the HP petrol pump at Gulem, he allegedly rammed into a TVS scooter from behind.
The TVS rider, Prithviraj Pagi of Khola, and his pillion rider, Sushila Kharlor of Agonda (native of Meghalaya), were thrown onto the road and sustained injuries.
Police have registered the case under Sections 125(a) and 281 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 2023. The investigation is being carried out by Head Constable Anand Pagi.
