PANAJI: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has cancelled his scheduled visit to Goa this weekend in light of the current situation in the country amidst the ongoing war with Pakistan, the party announced on Friday.
Kejriwal was expected to inaugurate an ‘Arogya Clinic’ in the St. Cruz constituency, modeled on AAP’s successful ‘Mohalla Clinic’ health initiative in Delhi and Punjab.
Addressing the media, AAP Goa State President Amit Palekar confirmed the cancellation, citing national priorities. “Given the current circumstances in the country, Arvind Kejriwal will not be able to attend the event in Goa,” he said.
Despite the change in plans, Palekar said that the inauguration of the Arogya Clinic at Merces will go ahead as scheduled on Saturday at 5:30 PM.
The clinic is part of AAP’s efforts to replicate its health care model in Goa, aiming to provide accessible and affordable primary health services to local communities.
