PORVORIM: Porvorim police have registered a case against a 25-year-old Kenyan national for allegedly staying in Goa without a valid visa.
According to police, during a document check at Northern Hill Crest Hotel in Nerul on July 2, the woman, identified as Mary Wanjiku from Nairobi, was found with a genuine passport but failed to produce a valid visa.
Police said she was residing illegally in India in violation of the Foreigners Order, 1948, and the Foreigners Act, 1946. An offence has been registered at Porvorim Police Station under relevant sections of the law.
