PANAJI: In a significant drug bust, the Anti-Narcotic Cell (ANC) on Thursday arrested a 29-year-old man from Kerala for possession of hydroponically cultivated marijuana and LSD blotters, with an estimated international market value of ₹22 lakh.
The arrest was made in Siolim following several weeks of meticulous technical surveillance and intelligence gathering. The accused was presented before a magistrate and has been remanded to five days in police custody for further investigation.
The operation was carried out by PSI Dindayal Redkar and his team under the supervision of Police Inspector Sajith Pillai. It was conducted under the overall guidance of DySP ANC Nerlon Albuquerque and SP ANC Sunita Sawant.
