Sangolda: A tourist from Kerala lost his life following a tragic accident at a hotel in Sangolda.
The deceased has been identified as Ajay Pulikkal, a resident of Kerala, who had arrived in Goa with friends and checked into a hotel in the area. According to police sources, the incident occurred while he was taking a bath in the hotel’s swimming pool. He reportedly slipped and struck his head against the pool tiles.
He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment and was later shifted to the District Hospital for further medical care. However, doctors declared him brought dead.
The body has been shifted to Goa Medical College (GMC) for postmortem examination to ascertain the exact cause of death.
Saligao Police have registered a case of unnatural death and initiated further investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
