PANJIM: MGP leader Ketan Bhatikar has accused BJP led government of doing business out of COVID to generate revenue for State exchequer.
Addressing a press conference on Monday, Bhatikar said that since tourism industry is shut, government is using COVID to generate revenue.
“People, who go for testing, are forced to go for institutional quarantine pending test result. These private facilities charge patient around Rs 2000 per day. Why is there delay in test result? Is to only to make money,” he said.
Bhatikar also pointed out that on one side government is declaring containment zone, on the other hand tourists are allowed to enter the State, even without testing.
The MGP leader also demanded that government should utilise the money on COVID management and to review economy of marginal class, rather then spending on constructing new Raj Bhavan
