CANACONA: GHS Khotigao Won the IX Shubham Naik Memorial Interschool Cricket tournament.
In the finals played on Friday, Shradhanand HS won the toss, batting first scored 91/3 in the allotted 10 overs. Nishad 54(38)*
and Tanish 15(9)* were the main scorers for Shradhanand, while Devendra 1/22(2) and
Anish 1/21(2) were the successful bowlers for Khotigao GHS.
In reply, Govt.H/s Khotigao overcame the Shradhanand by scoring 95 runs for the loss of just 2 wickets in 8.1overs.
Mukesh 19(8)* and Man-of-the-Finals Devendra 18(12)* were the main scorers for Khotigao while Shailesh 1/14 (2)*
and Man-of-the-tournament /Best Batsman awardee Nishad Pagi 1/9(2) were the successful bowlers for Shraddhanand.
Result : Khotigoan Hs Won By 8 wickets.
Best Bowler of the tournament DevendraGaonkar of KLhotigao GHS, Man of the math of 1st Semis – Tanish Bhandari of Shradhanand HS, 2nd Semis – Divesh Gaonkar of GHS Khotigao. awards were also given.
Chief guest for the finals and prize distribution was Cricketer, Panch and Ex-Loliem-Polem Sarpanch Sachin Naik, CSA President – Janardh+an Bhandari, and others present during prize distribution were CSA Secretary Sharendra Naik, Ratnakar Raikar, Durgesh Haonkar, Sanjay Naik, Pradesh Gaonkar, Sajjan Desai, Venkatray Naik
Earlier in the semi-finals, Shradhanand defeated Tudal High school by 7 wickets. while Govt. High School, Khotigao won by 30 runs against Damodar Vidyalaya.
