MAPUSA: The Colvale kidnapping case took an ugly turn on Monday evening with the arrest of one more accused and the victim girls disclosing sexual assault.
Mapusa SDPO Jivba Dalvi said the statements of both the minor victim girls were recorded, wherein they stated that they were sexually abused by the accused persons.
Based on the statement, another accused person, Vikas Mukhiya, 19 yrs R/o Bicholim N/o Bihar, was arrested and is presently under police custody.
This takes the total number of arrests in the case to three accused persons.
Also, as minor girls have revealed sexual abuse, stringent sections of the POCSO Act have also been added to the crime.
Further investigation is in progress.
