CORGAO: Pernem police have arrested three persons for allegedly stabbing and assaulting a man and his cousin over previous enmity at Bhatwadi, Corgao, on Sunday afternoon.
According to police, an offence was registered on March 29 at 9.29 pm vide Crime No. 14/2026 under Sections 352, 324(4), 115(2), 118(2) and 351(2)(3) read with 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, based on a complaint filed by Mukand Dinanth Narse of Bhatwadi, Corgao, Pernem.
The complainant alleged that at around 3 pm, accused Rushikesh Santosh Narse (35), Snehal Santosh Narse (29) and Shubham Navnath Narse (30), all residents of Bhatwadi, Corgao, Bardez, abused him in filthy language and, due to previous enmity, attacked him with a knife. The accused also allegedly assaulted the complainant and his cousin brother Sachidanand Narse using a wooden danda and plastic pipe, besides punching and kicking them, causing bleeding injuries.
Police said the accused also damaged an Activa scooter bearing registration number GA-11-F-1148, resulting in a loss of approximately ₹15,000, and allegedly threatened the complainant with dire consequences.
All three accused were placed under arrest at 10.28 pm on March 29. Police stated that Supreme Court guidelines were followed during the arrest.
