PONDA: In a shocking incident, a Karnataka woman was robbed of gold ornaments worth Rs 8 lakhs in a Kadamba bus travelling from Ponda to Bijapur.
As per the information, the woman suspected that some co-passenger might have opened the bag and stolen the jewellery while she was busy talking on the mobile.
The theft came to light when she crossed the Mollem border and called the police.
Later, the Ramnagar police intercepted the bus and conducted a search but couldn’t find anything.
It has been revealed that the bus had halted at Usgao and Dharbandora, where some passengers alighted.
