Panaji: Young talents Kyan Mavany and Tvisha Sardesai emerged as the standout performers in the Under 14 categories at the Baale BPS Open 2026, delivering commanding displays to secure their respective titles at the B.P.S. Sports Club.
In the Boys Under 14 final, Kyan completed an impressive run with a clinical 4 1, 4 0 victory over Ethan Ataide. Tvisha matched that dominance in the Girls Under 14 summit clash, defeating Bhaavya Bhoomkar 4 0, 4 2 to lift the trophy. Earlier in the semifinals, Tvisha blanked Kimberly D’sa 4 0, 4 0, while Bhaavya advanced with a 4 2, 4 0 win over Urvi Panandiker.
The Girls Under 18 draw also featured competitive encounters. In the quarterfinals, Tvisha defeated Analeah Menezes 6 0, Bhaavya got the better of Kate Fernandes 6 3, Urvi overcame Aarshiya Mittal 6 0, and Kimberly beat Avni Lotlikar 6 3. Tvisha then edged Bhaavya 4 3, 4 1 in the semifinals, while Urvi progressed after a hard fought 4 0, 2 4, 10 8 victory against Kimberly.
In the Boys Under 18 section, Kyan defeated Alec Barreto 6 3 in the quarterfinals before overpowering Shaurya Verlekar 4 0, 4 0 in the semifinals. Ethan Ataide reached the final after wins over Devaansh Naik and Arhaan Gaunkar.
The Masters 45 plus Singles title was claimed by Anurag Agarwal, who registered a convincing 6 0, 6 1 win over Dimitry in the final. In the Masters 60 plus category, Caetano Fernandes secured the championship with a 6 1, 6 2 triumph against Manoj Pandey.
The Masters 100 plus Doubles final saw Ehrlich and Noel prevail over Sachin and Kevin 3 6, 7 6, 10 3 in a closely contested match.
Supported by Goa State Tennis Association and backed by Baale Resort Goa, the tournament continues to highlight emerging and veteran tennis talent in Margao.
