Fatorda: An unknown culprit broke into a parked car and stole a laptop, cash and important documents from an open parking area near the SGPDA Market at Fatorda, police said.
According to Fatorda Police, the incident occurred between 8.45 pm on December 31, 2025, and 12.30 am on January 1, 2026, at the open parking space in front of the Frozen Bottle restaurant near the INOX Theatre. The complaint was lodged by Dinesh Nadar, a resident of Caranzalem, Panaji.
Police said the accused broke the glass of the left rear door of Nadar’s Maruti car and decamped with an ASUS laptop, cash amounting to ₹5,000, PAN card, Aadhaar card, voter ID card, company stamp, office keys and a digital signature. The total loss has been estimated at around ₹90,000.
A case has been registered at Fatorda Police Station, and further investigation is being carried out by ASI Ashish Velip.
