VASCO: A case of theft was registered at the Vasco Railway Police Station on Thursday, following a complaint lodged by Chetan Sawant, a resident of Zari, Sancoale, Zuarinagar.
According to the complaint, the theft occurred on July 28, 2024, at around 9:30 PM in Coach No. S-1, Berth No. 51 of the Vasco-Yashvantpur Express train, which was halted at Platform No. 2 of Vasco Railway Station.
Sawant reported that his laptop, a Dell model valued at approximately ₹1,00,000, was stolen from his shoulder bag, which he had placed on his seat. The unknown thief made off with the laptop, leaving the owner in distress.
The Vasco Railway Police have registered the case under Section 303(2) of the BNS, and the investigation is currently being led by PSI Krishna G. Talpi.
