MARGAO: In a massive raid legal Metrology Department Margao seized 6060 packages of fireworks worth Rs 10.2 lakhs for not having mandatory declarations as required under Legal Metrology Act & Rules in force.
The raid was carried out by the office of the legal Metrology Department Margao Goa led by Nitin Pandurang Purushan Assistant Controller Legal Metrology South Zone- I, Margao Goa and Demu Mapari Inspector Legal Metrology Margao Goa and assisted by Sudhir Gaonkar and Melvino Furtado.
Altogether 6060 packages of fire works worth of Rs. 10.2 lakh rupees was seized for not bearing mandatory declaration as required under legal Metrology Act and Rules in force.
