PANAJI: Minister Micheal Lobo today said that wife Delilah Lobo had expressed interest in contesting the upcoming elections from the neighbouring Saligao or Siolim constituency.
“My wife has shown interest in contesting upcoming elections from either Saligao or Siolim constituency, and I would be writing her claim to the party when the time comes,” said Lobo
He further said that tourism is slowly opening up, and tourists will be allowed in Goa after proper screening and RT-PCR negative a must.
“We have to wait till July and let the number of cases go down to zero. We will reopen Goa for tourists with proper screening. Both doses of vaccines and a negative RT-PCR report will be made mandatory for tourists for the first three months after reopening of tourism in the state,” he said.
“The cases are coming down, but we will wait for a month to start the business. For the first two months, we need to keep a close watch,” he added.
But Lobo added that protocols would have to be changed for the peak tourist season.
“In October, November and December, the protocols will change, so it will not affect the tourists coming to the state for New Year or Christmas,” Lobo said.
