LoP Yuri Alemao Blames BJP for Youth Unemployment, Says CM Should Not Shift Responsibility

PANAJI: Leader of the Opposition Yuri Alemao has criticised Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, saying that the BJP government should not blame Goan youths for the lack of employment. Alemao pointed out that the party had promised over 70,000 government jobs during elections but failed to deliver. He further raised concerns that the government encourages recruitment of unemployed youth from other states in Goa’s industrial estates, putting local youth at risk of being transferred out, thereby undermining job security. Alemao stated that the government has failed to generate adequate employment opportunities and challenged it to provide a detailed list of vacant jobs in both government and private sectors to prove otherwise.
