Margao: Cuncolim MLA Yuri Alemao on Tuesday handed over sanction letters of Laadli Laxmi, Griha Adhar other beneficial schemes to beneficiaries.
Around 50 beneficiaries of Laadli Laxmi and ten of Griha Adhar received their sanction letters.
Speaking on the occasion, Alemao said that his office will always help to those who wish to avail these schemes.
Reacting to the complaint by the local, Alemao said that whenever Government delays the payment, he himself along with other opposition MLAs grill government for such delays.
“I am of the opine that when government starts such schemes in the welfare of public, they should get assistance on time. But these payments are delayed. Then we intervene and question government,” Alemao said.
He pointed out that government unnecessarily spends on events and sidelines the important things.
Speaking about the developmental works of Cuncolim, he said that many projects are in pipeline and foundation stone of same will be put in coming days.
“I believe in doing development with people consent and I am thankful to all of you for supporting such projects. Soon we will have hospital project, which will help everyone,” Alemao said.
Alemao said that focusing on sports infrastructure, he has put some proposals with government and he is confident of bringing them in reality.
