Panaji: Goa’s own décor and event management company, M/s Vinayak Decorators, has been honoured with the “Special Creative Art Director Award” at the 10th, 11th and 12th editions of the Goa State Film Festival 2025.
The award was presented to Smt. Nutan Vinayak Dessai by Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant during the festival’s award ceremony in Panaji.
Led by Sidhesh Dessai, M/s Vinayak Decorators has earned a reputation as one of Goa’s premier creative agencies for conceptualisation, décor, planning and event management. The team has played a pivotal role in organising some of the State’s most iconic events, including the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) and the Purple Festival for Persons with Disabilities. Their expertise has also been sought outside Goa, with successful projects executed in Maharashtra, Delhi, Arunachal Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Kolkata, Karnataka, Meghalaya and Gujarat.
The company’s work has recently received national recognition as well. Under Sidhesh Dessai’s leadership, an all-Goan team curated Republic Day parade floats for Arunachal Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh, showcasing the cultural heritage of both states through Goan craftsmanship. These floats were also displayed at the Bharat Parv Exhibition at Red Fort, Delhi, from January 26 to 31, 2025, an event organised by the Ministry of Defence.
This dual recognition — at the Goa State Film Festival and at the Republic Day celebrations — underscores Vinayak Decorators’ growing contribution in promoting Goan artistry and talent on the national stage.
