CANACONA: Seven Village Panchayat’s of Canacona have collected Mud-filled pots at the Block Development Office(BDO), Canacona for onward submission to the National Capital as part of ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ a central government inititiative to commemorate the 75 years of India’s Independence.
Led by Sarpancha’s, Deputies and and the Secretary, the respective panchayat’s presented the Maati filled Pots at the Canacona BDO organised program in the conference Hall at the Administrative block of Canacona Dy. Collectorate, on Friday.
Canacona BDO Anil Naik later presented the Maati filled Pots to the Canacona MLA and Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar , for onward presentation at the Capital New Delhi.
Agonda Sarpanch Preettal Fernandes, panch and Ex-Sarpanch Fatima Rodrigues, secretary Amol Naikgaunkar, shristhal Sarpanch Sejal Gaonkar, Dy. Sarpanch, ex-sarpanch and panch Ganesh Gaonkar, Panchayat Secretary Sushant V Lolayekar, BMC Chairperson Vinay Tubki, bMC member Shirish Pai;, Gaondongrim Dy. Sarpanch, Panch, Secretary Manjunath Naikgaunkar, Khotigao vp Sarpanch Anandu Dessai, Deputy, Panch members and Panchcyat Secretary, Poinguinim Dy /sarpanch Sunil Paingankar, Panch Mahesh Naik, vp Secretary Rajesh, while at Loliem-VP sarpanch Pratiza Bandekar and a Panch submitted the Pots to the BDO.
The programme was organized by BDO to Collect the Mitti from all seven Panchayats from Taluka which will be sent to Delhi. While speaking on this occasion Speaker urged to work with interest of the Nation. Mamlatdar Manoj Korgaonkar was present on this occasion. Sarpanch of all Panchayats along with Panch and Secretary attended the programme and handover the Mitti collected from respective panchayat to the BDO.
