MARGAO: In a move to upgrade passenger amenities with modern technology, a new state-of-the-art digital display video wall was inaugurated at Madgaon Railway Station by Santosh Kumar Jha, CMD, along with Manisha Jha, Chairperson KRWC & SSA.
The 200-sqft high-resolution video wall, installed in the station’s circulating area, will provide commuters with real-time train schedules, platform updates, safety advisories, passenger information, and details on nearby attractions.
The facility aims to improve convenience and ensure smoother passenger movement within the station.
The project has been implemented by Graphon Innovative Digital Solutions, Palakkad, under a five-year contract worth ₹18,20,563, with an annual licence fee of ₹3,08,570.
The contract is valid from 15 January 2025 to 14 January 2030.
Konkan Railway officials stated that the initiative reflects the corporation’s continued efforts to enhance station infrastructure with technology-driven, commuter-friendly upgrades, ensuring a more efficient and comfortable travel experience.
