The Maha Kumbh Mela, which ran from January 13 to February 26, 2025, was attended by over 66 crore devotees, making it one of the largest human gatherings in history. Prime Minister Modi emphasized the event’s success as a demonstration of India’s global capabilities, highlighting the collective effort that made it possible. The festival was a testament to India’s ability to manage large gatherings, ensuring safety and security for millions of attendees. Additionally, PM Modi suggested celebrating river festivals to save and revive water bodies, emphasizing the importance of water conservation. The Maha Kumbh Mela concluded on Maha Shivratri, marking the final day of the festival, which was a culmination of spiritual, cultural, and social celebrations.
