Panaji: Maharashtra, Gujarat and Chhattisgarh emerged champions as the Yonex Sunrise West Zone Inter State Badminton Championships 2025 concluded its Team Championships at Campal Indoor Stadium.
Maharashtra clinched Men’s Team and Junior Girls’ Team titles, Gujarat edged Maharashtra 3-2 to win the Women’s Team crown, while Chhattisgarh outplayed Maharashtra 2-0 to secure the Junior Boys’ title.
Hosts Goa impressed with strong performances, winning bronze medals in Men’s, Women’s and Junior Boys’ events.
Organised by the Goa Badminton Association and Sports Authority of Goa, the tournament featured top teams from across the West Zone. The focus now shifts to Individual events, which conclude on September 6.
