Panaji: Members of the Goa Pradesh Mahila Congress on Friday held a protest at the Panaji Market to highlight the ongoing shortage of LPG cylinders being faced by consumers across the state.
During the demonstration, the women alleged that many households are struggling to obtain cooking gas cylinders, creating serious difficulties for families that rely on LPG for their daily cooking requirements.
The protesters said the shortage has caused considerable inconvenience to several consumers and has disrupted routine household activities. They urged the Goa government to take immediate steps to resolve the issue and ensure that an adequate supply of cooking gas reaches consumers without delay.
Raising slogans during the protest, the Mahila Congress members called on the authorities concerned to address the supply problem urgently and put measures in place to prevent such shortages in the future.
They further stressed that uninterrupted access to LPG cylinders is essential for households and appealed to the government to intervene promptly to ease the hardship faced by the public.
