CANACONA: Police conducted a major narcotics raid on Tuesday afternoon near the cemetery by Chaudi Bus Stand in Canacona, seizing a commercial quantity of MDMA from a man.
According to police, the accused, Mohd Farman (30), a labourer from Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, was found in possession of 28.9 grams of MDMA, valued at approximately ₹5.78 lakh.
The raid was carried out at 3.15 pm on September 23 by a team led by PSI Babu Desai, assisted by HC Gautam Fal Desai and PCs Rajat Pagui, Sunil Gaonkar, Gauresh Naik, Shivanand Pagui, and Sushhant Velip.
The accused has been taken into custody, and further investigation is underway.
