Two weeks after the Goa Governor Satya Pal Malik took on the Goa Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant head on the COVID management issue, the Raj Bhavan resident has been transferred to Meghalaya.
The order issued by President of India Ram Nath Kovind said that Shri Satya Pal Malik, Governor of Goa is transferred and appointed as Meghalaya.
“Bhagat Singh Koshyari, Governor of Maharashtra to discharge the functions of the Governor of Goa in addition to his own duties. The above appointments will take effect from the dates they assume charge of their respective offices,” it says.
Malik had slammed the State government mis-handling of COVID19 pandemic and said the government should have done much more.
