PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has warned that the mamlatdar concerned will be suspended from service if encroachment on government lands in his jurisdiction takes place.
CM Pramod Sawant chaired a meeting of District Collectors and all Revenue officers in presence of Revenue Minister Babush Monserrate.
“Henceforth when anyone encroaches on government land for mining, building of houses etc, mamlatdars will be held responsible as he is the custodian of government land,” Sawant said.
Regularisation of houses workis pending and it will be fast tracked, informed CM Pramod Sawant today.
He further said that the mamlatdar will be even suspended if encroachments and illegal activities found in their jurisdictions.
“Henceforth when anyone encroaches on govt land for mining, building of houses etc Mamlatdars will be held responsible as he is the custodian of govt land, said Sawant. They will be even suspended if the need be, he added.
Sawant said that government will take up speedy resolution of issues related to Forest Rights Claims, Mundkar, Tenancy and land related cases.
CM said that the meeting deliberated on various aspects for offering better Governance and delivery of public services to the people in the year 2023.
“The focus will be on Public Centric Administration, Use of Technology to improve the working of the department, implementation of Right of Citizens to Time Bound Delivery of Public Services Act., he added.
